“Drowning victim found
Haleyville – The body of a 43-year-old Haleyville man, Robert Lee Frederick, was found Sunday morning in the Bear Creek reservoir near here.

He reportedly drowned around 9 p.m. Saturday near the Gravitte Bridge in the Dime community while swimming with friends.

Rescue squads from Double Springs, Bear Creek and Haleyville searched for Frederick, and a Double Springs squad member found the body near the north end of the bridge.

Funeral was today at Nichols Funeral Home Chapel, Haleyville, with burial in Mount Home Cemetery, Bear Creek.”
