In Memory O Mrs. Ellen Williams

Mrs. Ellen Williams departed this life Dec. 18, 1937.  She went to Jasper on
Wed. Dec 15 to do her Christmas shopping.  She came back home took a chill and
was seriously ill until she died.  This made the third time Mrs. Williams had
had pneumonia, but she has gone to a better land where she’ll never have to
suffer any more.
Mrs. Williams was 58 years old, lived a christen life 42 years.  She was loved
by all who knew her.  She is survived by her husband, J.M. Williams, 8 daughter,
Mrs. Lee Curtis, Mrs. Dora Connell, Mrs. Viola Bailey, Mrs. Addie Mayberry, Mrs.
Ada Humphries, mrs. Clara Gibson, and Misses Fa’ry and Jocie Williams, 5 sons,
Bervil, Henderson, Homer, Oliver and Ernest Williams, living and 3 dead.
She will be greatly missed in the community where she lived.  We will miss her
at church for we could always hear her prayers but we will never hear her
prayers again on earth.  Let us make preparation to meet her in heaven where
there’ll be no sad partings and we can be together through ceaseless ages.  She
was teacher of the young peoples class but her little pupils will never hear her
teach them again.
She was buried Sunday, Dec 19 at the Williams cemetery, Brown’s Service in
charge.  Rev. Dunlap conducted funeral services.
Her sons-in-law acted as pallbearers, granddaughters were flower girls.
