  Funeral services for Alvin L. "Buddy" Hagood Jr., 44, of Katy, Texas were
held Wednesday, July 9, at 10 a.m. at Martinville Baptist Church with the
Rev. Travis Roberts officiating.  Burial was at Eden Cemetery under the
direction of Jones Funeral Home of Hamburg.
  Mr. Hagood died Saturday, July 5, at the Hospice Unit of the Texas
Medical Center in Houston.
  A native of Fort Benning, Ga., he had been a resident of Katy for the
past 18 years and was a former resident of Hamburg.  He was a member of the
Holy Covenant United Methodist Church, member of Rosenberg Chamber of
Commerce, FFPS soccer coach and a member of the Winborn Elementary School
PTO.
  Survivors include his wife, Melody BakerHagood; and one daughter,
Kimberly Paige Hagood of Katy.
  Pallbearers were Freddie, Bobby and Jimmy Martin, Gene Bates, Bo Savage,
Edward Gulledge, Billy Fincher and Henry Boone.
  Memorials may be made to the Kimberly Hagood College Fund, First Bank,
Katy, TX. 77449
