He was a lifelong resident of Ashley County, a former employee of the Missouri- Pacific Railroad, a retired millright for the Crossett Division of Georgia- Pacific Corp., a farmer and a member of Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church of Crossett. Survivors include his wife, Louise Ray May Noble of Crossett; two sons, Robert Roy Noble Jr. of Heber Springs, and Donald Frank Noble of Crossett; a daughter, Marie Lanell Noble Murphy of Crossett; two brothers, Henry “Mack” Mikinnion Noble of Crossett, and Orville of Bastrop, La.; four sisters, Hunter Louise Lasher of Bastrop, La., Doris Hancock of Crossett, Helen Pennington of Collingston, Okla., and June Hollis of Hamburg; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 6, at Jones Funeral home Chapel, with the Rev. Thad Douglas and the Rev. Roy Craig officiating. Burial was in Crossroads Cemetery, under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
