Klois Hargis officiating. Burial was at Pinewood Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Hamburg. Mr. Nolan died Thursday, June 26, at Hamburg Lesire Lodge. A native of Farmerville, La., he had been a resident of Hamburg since 1952. He was a amember of First Baptist Church of Hamburg and was a member of the J.W. Hall Sunday School Class. He wasw a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served in the South Pacific. He retired from the Mississippi River Fuel Transmission Co. in 1978 after 28 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Pearl White Nolan; one son, Johnny Nolan of Hamburg; one daughter, Sandra Johnston of Elmore, Ala.; one brother, Robert Nolan of West Monroe, La., two sisters, Connie Dumas of West Monroe and Ebelle Rogers of Farmerville; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers,Jack and L.Z. Nolan; and two sisters, Sadie Dumas and Delta Nolan. Pallbearers were Joe Mack Sullivan, Ronnie LaGrone, Buddy Atkins, Jim Young, Jack Shell, Gordon Hennington, Sonny Tucker, Larry Donaldson and Teddy Hickman.
