ELI PLATT

  Graveside services for Eli David Platt, 69, of Crossett were held Tuesday, July 
15, at 2 p.m. at Zion Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Titsworth officiating.  Jones 
Funeral Home of Hamburg was in charge of arrangements.
  Mr. Platt was found dead at his residence Monday, July 14.
  A native of Norphlet, he had been a resident of Crossett for the past year, a 
resident of Bastrop, La. for 10 years and was a former resident of El Dorado.  He 
was a veteran of the Korean War, a licensed Southern Baptist minister and attended 
Southwestern Baptist Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He was also a graduate of Le 
Tourneau School of Technology with a degree in electricity.
  Survivors include one brother, Donald Platt of DeWitt; one sister, Maurine Bringman 
of Chestertown, Md.; and several nieces and nephews.
  He was preceded in death by a sister, Christine Platt.
