Church with the Rev. A.L. Owens officiating. Burial was at Quinn Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg. Mrs. Scott died Thursday, July 3, at Ashley Memorial Hospital. A native of Ashley County, she was a lifelong resident of Crossett, a homemaker and a member of Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church. Survivors include one daughter, Marva Sims; two sons, Michael Scott and Marvin Scott; one brother, Ernest L. Simpson; two sisters, Bernetta Woffard, all of Crossett; and Earlene Pace of Shepherd, Texas, and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Scott; a sister and two brothers. Pallbearers were Curtis Harris, Joe Moseley, Herman Newton, Robert Duke, Harvey Duke and Larry Rogers. Honorary pallbearers were Warren Griffin, John Griffin, Willie Ed Griddin Jr., Michael Scott,Marvin Scott and Ernest L. Simpson.
