FLORIDA WILLIAMS

  Funeral services for Florida Mae Williams, 74, of Crossett were held
Monday, July 7, at 11 a.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. B.J.
Jackson officiating.  Burial was at Ebenezer Cemetery in Strong under the
direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg.
  Mrs. Williams died Wednesday, July 2, at Columbia North Monroe Hospital
in Monroe, La.
  A native of Strong, she had been a resident of Crossett for 50 years and
was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.  She was a member of the Womens'
Missionary Society.
  Survivors include one daughter, Vernell Martin of Crossett; one brother,
Roy Payne of Crossett; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
  She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Williams; and a sister,
Darnell Wilson.
  Grandsons and nephews served as pallbearers.
