Rogers - Mary Elizabeth Douglas Backman, 90, of Rogers, died on Jun 16, 2009, in
Rogers. Born Oct 11, 1918, in Lakeside, NE, to Ray Addison Douglas and Emma
Carolyn Swanson.

Worked for J.L. Brandels & Sons Dept Store; active member of the Rogers
Beautification Committee and the Organic Gardening Club of Rogers; member of
Rogers First Baptist Church

Married to Evert Backman for 51 years until his death. Also preceded in death by
two sons, Bill and Donald Backman.

Survived by brother, Tom Douglas; and three grandchildren, Michelle Winn, and
Jason and Matthew Backman.

Service at 10am Saturday, Jun 27, 2009, at First Presbyterian Church in Rogers.
