Eileen Burden 
 
Gladys Eileen Burden, 88 year-old resident of West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma, 
died March 12, 2009 at Quail Ridge Living Center. Born May 30, 1920 in Siloam 
Springs, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Dudley B. and Emma (Walker) Martin. 
Eileen married Robert Lee Burden on February 3, 1940 and worked as a 
housekeeper with Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the 
Eastern Star in Kansas, Oklahoma and Calvary Baptist Church in West Siloam 
Springs, Oklahoma. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 
one brother, Clarence Martin; and two sisters, Grace Moss and Alice Robinson. 

Survivors include one son, Howard Burden and wife Mary Ellen of Decatur, 
Arkansas; one daughter, Grace Ann Marlow of West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma; 
five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

Graveside memorial services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 
Johnson Cemetery, West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma with Brother Joe Wilkerson 
officiating.  She will be in state from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 
13, 2009 at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
