Lenox, 82 years old , of Gentry, Ark., a former resident of Decatur, died Wednesday night in a Siloam Springs hospital after an extended illness. Born December 27 1883, in Garfield, Ark., Mr. Lenox had lived in Gentry one week, moveing there from Decatur, where he had lived since retiring in 1956 as an engineer for Pure Oil Company in Drumright, Oklahoma. He was a member of the First Baptist church in Drumright. He is survived by a grandson, whom he reared, Harold L. Lenox, Los Angeles, Calif.: three brothers, Levi Lenox, Gentry, John Lenox, Pittsburg, Kan., and Arthur Lenox, state of California and two sisters, Mrs. Dora Guss, Gravette, Ark., and Mrs. R.N. Thornton, Coin, Iowa. Funeral services will be at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon in the Decatur Baptist church. The Rev. Vee Hoyle will officiate and burial will be in Decatur cemetery under direction of Wasson funeral home of Siloam Springs.
