All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** Published: Harrison Daily times Tuesday, November 24, 2009 6:09 AM Mark Evan Savage, age 81, of Joplin, Mo., passed away at 7:05 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at Freeman West Hospital. Mark was born July 14, 1928, at Bellefonte, to the late Arch Savage and Bonnie Harrison Savage and had lived in the Joplin area for many years. Mark had always made his living as an entrepreneur. Anyone who knows him will know that he lived a very colorful life. He was a jack of all trades. He could never pass up a good card game. There was never a better father to teach their children many of life’s lessons. All his children learned to be hard-working and self-sufficient individuals. He loved his grandsons more than life. They were his life. He will be missed. He married Annabelle Courtois on April 10, 1971, in Miami, Okla. She survives at the home. Additional survivors include four sons, Roger Savage and Jerry Savage, both of Joplin, Mo., Tim Savage of Belton, Mo. and Stanley Savage of Valley Springs; four daughters, Judy Dacanay of Gentry, Rhonda Holmes of Batesville, Michelle Griffberg of Carl Junction, Mo. and Debbie Martin of Colcord, Okla.; two sisters, Cowetta Robbins and Mary Ruth Miller, both of Wichita; 25 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Mark has been taken for cremation. No formal services are planned at this time Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary in Joplin, Mo.
