Joel Castleberry
Joel Castleberry, 84, Warren, Route 1, died Monday at the Hunt hosital
where he had been receiving medical treatment. A native of Bradley
county, he was born March 20, 1862, and became a member of the Methodist
church in his early years.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. C. A. Bowman and Miss Dorothy
Castleberry of Warren, Mrs. Bertie Ingram of Little Rock, Mrs. Herbert
Bryant of Helena; two sons, Walter Castleberry of Hermitage, and
Clarence Castleberry of Warren; one step-son, Luther Spears of Warren;
one step-daughter, Mrs. W. Matthews of Texarkana; one grandson, Carl
Trammel.
Services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 at Hickory Springs with
Rev. A. J. Bearden officiating. Burial was at Hickory Springs.
Active pall bearers were B. F. Castleberry, H. F. Castleberry, Houston
Castleberry, Henry Castleberry, Orrell Grider, Howard Grider.
