Mrs. F. S. Grice
Mrs. Delaney Catherine Grice, 85, who was born in Mississippi, December
7, 1853, died at her home Thursday, December 23, 1937. She was a charter
member of the Hopewell Baptist Church. In March 1872 she was married to
F. S. Grice to which union fourteen children were born, seven of whom
survive.
Besides her husband, surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. C. A. Moseley
of Eudora and Mrs. J. L. DeArmond of Parnell Springs; five sons, O. V.
Grice of Kingsland, and H. B., A. F., W. E., and B. A. Grice of Parnell
Springs; three brothers, G. A. Williams of New Edinburg, and Carroll and
Joe Williams of Warren; and forty-three grandchildren, and sixty-three
great grandchildren.
The Rev. C. F. Wheeler, assisted by the Rev. W. J. Carter and the Rev.
L. B. Moseley, conducted the funeral services Friday at Moseley Cemetery.
