Mrs. Monette Rowell Kirkley, age 56, of Clarendon, died Wednesday, April 26, 
at Baptist Medical Center, Little Rock.  A native of Bradley County, Mrs. 
Kirkley was born February 11, 1916.  She was a daughter of the late Samuel T. 
Rowell and Mrs. Myrtle Hines Rowell.  Mrs. Kirkley was the wife of Marion 
Kirkley who survives.  Mrs. Kirkley was a house-wife and a member of the 
Hermitage Baptist Church.  Other survivors include: 2 sons, Kenneth Kirkley, 
West Memphis, and James Kirkley, Crossett; 1 daughter, Mrs. Gloria Sellers, 
Murfreesboro, Tennessee; 2 sisters, Mrs. Gerald Cook, Hampton, and Mrs. Bill 
Harvill, San Pablo, California; and 3 grandchildren.  Funeral services were at 
2 p. m., Friday, April 28, at Frazer's Funeral Chapel by Rev. Bob Meggs. 
Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery, at Jersey, by Frazer's Funeral Home.  
Pallbearers were Gary McCuan, Roby Loveless, Harrelton Wooley, Tommy Cook, 
Ronnie Marks, Darrell Sellers, J. H. Sellers, and Joe Green.  Honorary 
pallbearers were Dr. Carl Northcutt, Frank Henderson, Bobby Winn, Johnnie 
Carr, J. C. Thompson, Grady Baker, Rufus McDougald, Dobie Hickman, Dr. Eugene 
Taylor.
