Pine Bluff Commercial, Pine Bluff AR, 19 Jan 1976
Warren – Mrs. Mattie May Rowell, 93, of Warren, died Sunday at Bradley County 
Memorial Hospital here.  She was a member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist 
Church.  Survivors include three sons, Buster Rowell and Walter Rowell of 
Warren and Lester Rowell of San Dimas, California; three daughters, Mrs. Ruby 
Bain Bridge of Houston, Mrs. Carroll Gates of the Jersey community and Mrs. J. 
L. Hollingsworth of Hermitage; a brother, Pat Temple of Magnolia; a sister, 
Mrs. Pearl Tolbert of Taylor, Texas; 20 grandchildren; and 20 great-
grandchildren.

Mattie married John Richard ROWELL 13 Mar 1901 in Bradley County AR.
