Headline: Fred H. Rowell, Resident’s Father
Warren (Spl.) – Fred Howard Rowell, 48, a well-known Hermitage resident, died 
at his home Saturday.  Mr. Rowell was the father of Dean Y. Rowell, 
superintendent of the Arkansas Boys Industrial School, Pine Bluff.  He is 
survived by his wife, Mrs. Geordie McDougald Rowell of Hermitage; two sons, 
Leslie Howard Rowell of Hermitage and Dean Rowell of Pine Bluff; one daughter, 
Lena Ann Rowell of Hermitage; his father, S. P. (sic, T.) Rowell of Hermitage; 
and three sisters, Mrs. Marion Kirkley of Hermitage, Mrs. Gerald Cook of 
Hampton, and Mrs. Bill Harville of Richmond, Cal.  He was a Baptist.  Funeral 
services for Mr. Rowell were conducted yesterday at Jersey by Rev. S. H. 
Vaughn.  Burial was in the Jersey Cemetery by Frazer Funeral Home.
