C.C.Gannaway filed his application and bond for letters of Administration upon the estate of John Ramsey. The said C. C. Gannaway in his application swore that the said John Ramsey died intestate on or about June 2, 1868, leaving as his only heirs at law: Nancy Gannaway and Adolphus A. Ramsey Probate Record D at pg 5. July 14. 1868, the Bond of C. C. Gannaway. As Administrator of the estate of John Ramsey, deceased. was approved by the Probate Court and letters ordered issued Probate Court Book D page 131. C. C. Gannaway Admr. of Estate of John Ramsey. Petition to divide lands. The Petition of C. C. Gannaway. Adm'r. of the estate of John Ramsey. represents to the Court that his intestate died seized of real estate in Bradley County, of which he made no division. That his intestate left but two children: Adolphus Ramsey and Nancy Gannaway, formerly Nancy Ramsey. Therefore he prays that, John W. Martin, John B. Price and James Burnett be appointed Commissioners to partition and assign to said heirs all of the lands which said deceased died seized and possessed of the Court being satisfied in the premises grants the Petition and appoints John B. Price, John W. Martin and James Burnett, Commissioners as aforesaid and to report their proceedings at the next term of this Court. Probate Court Book D pg 146. Tuesday, April 11th 1871 Estate of John Ramsey. Report of Commissioners for partition of land. The report of John B. Price, J.W. Martin and J.L. Burnett, Commissioners appointed at the January term l871 to partition the land belonging to the estate of John Ramsey, deceased, among the heirs thereof represents and submits the following to the consideration of the Court. We do partition and assign to Mrs. Gannaway (formerly Miss Nancy Ramsey) the following real estate to wit: The NE 1/4 and E 1/2 of NW 1/4 Section Five in Township 13 Range 9 containing 249 acres, and do assess the value of the said land at twenty four hundred and ninety dollars. And we do partition and assign to Adolphus Ramsey the following real estate to wit: W 1/2 of Section 27 and N 1/2 of SE 1/4 of Section 30, all in Township 10, Range 10 containing five hundred and sixty acres and we do assess the value of said land at the sum of Five hundred and sixty dollars, and we do further assign to Adolphus Ramsey one lot situated on the Southwest corner of Public Square in the town of Warren, County of Bradley. State of Arkansas, the same being the lot upon which now is erected a store house, and we do appraise said house and lot to the sum of Eight hundred and eighty three dollars, and we do direct that Mrs. Nannie Gannaway shall pay to Adolphus Ramsey the sum of Five hundred and twenty three dollars and fifty cents, the amount being required to make the said Adolphus Ramsey equal in the division of the premises. Whereupon the Court after examination into the matter and facts set forth in said report, approves and confirms the same and orders the same of record.
