Dear Aunt, I write to you to notify you of Aunt Prissie’s (?) death, she died on the eighth of this month, she suffered a great deal before she died the cancer broke out again and got in both of her breasts, she could not raise her head off of her breast it was drawn that way, she was perfectly helpless three weeks before she died her left side was paralyzed even to her tongue. She was ready and willing to go said she had made peace with God. It was awful hard to give her up but God does all things for the best. Papa is going to the office and is waiting for my letter so I will close. He would be very glad to hear from you, will write you again concerning Aunt Prisses death as I haven’t time to write much now. All well. Crops are burned nearly up, haven’t had any rain in two months. Write to us soon. Love to all of the family and yourself. Papa says write to him and tell him all the news. Your niece, Dela M. Moses Additional Comments: Transcribed from a letter in my possession. Written to Mary Elizabeth Moses Bridges of Coweta Co., GA from Dela M.
