All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** Della Hayden Bradley, a lifelong resident of Carroll County, was born on April 15, 1919, in Oak Grove, Arkansas, a daughter of Robert Junius and Flary May (Humbard) Hayden. She departed this life on Saturday, June 13, 2009, at the age of 90. Della graduated from Green Forest High School in 1937 and during World War II enlisted and served in the U. S. Army, Women's Army Corps, as a Sergeant with the Quartermaster Corps at Camp Lee, Virginia, from August 1943 to April 1945. She was a homemaker and dairy farmer. She worked at Glick Manufacturing, Carrs Dry Goods, The Berryville Mercantile, and Coast to Coast. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Berryville. On March 18, 1944, she was united in marriage with Jesse Carl Bradley, who preceded her in death. She is survived by a son Larry Bradley of Berryville; two daughters, Janet Batten and her husband Jack Batton of Upper Marlboro, MD, and Karla Bradley of Fayetteville, AR; two grandchildren, Bethany (Bradley) Karber and her husband Wes Karber of Little Rock, AR, and Benjamin Carlton Bradley of Berryville, and a great-granddaughter Lila Marie Karber of Little Rock, AR. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl, parents, three sisters (Clara, Nora, Mae) and five brothers (Grant, Jody, Jim, Roy, and John C), a nephew, Terry Hayden. Services 10:00 A. M., Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Nelsons Chapel in Berryville with Rev. Douglas Burwick officiating. Interment in Berryville Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service, Inc. Memorial donations to the First Christian Church, Berryville, Arkansas or to charities and foundations dedicated to cures for macular degeneration, cancer, and heart disease
