All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** MARY HALEEN FANCHER, 91, of Shell Knob, Missouri, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2009 at the Red Rose Inn after a long illness. Haleen was born March 9, 1918, in Conner, Arkansas, to George Crump and Alice Mae Fancher. She graduated from School of the Ozarks. She went to Springfield Teachers College, now known as Missouri State University. She taught several years in the rural Missouri schools, Roach, Carr Lane, Hendricks, Viola, and Galena, also at Rudd, Arkansas, Tracy, California, and St. Clair, MO. She was a licensed beautician and worked a short time at Heers Beauty Shop in Springfield, MO. She worked in Medical Records at St. John's Hospital, Springfield until retirement. Haleen was a past member of Carr Lane Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Salena, MO. Haleen is survived by her sister, Pauline Sooter and husband Howard of Shell Knob, MO, sister-in-law, Lee Fancher of Rogers, AR, and nieces, Georgie Mathias and husband Bill of Springfield, MO, Betty Edwards of Nixa, MO, Kathy Pettigrew and husband Jerry of Rogers, AR, Kristy Fancher of Rogers, AR, nephews, Dan and wife RaDonna Fancher of Cassville, MO, Tom Fancher of California, Chad Fancher of Rogers, AR, Jimmy Fancher of Shell Knob, MO, and seven great newphews, one great niece, one great-great nephew and one great-great niece. She was preceded in death, by her parents, three brothers, Richard, William, and Jim Fran Fancher. One sister Kathleen Meadows, one nephew Jerry Fancher, one nephew-in-law, Bob Edwards, three great nephews George and Paul Edwards, Toby Fancher, three great nieces Lisa and Sammie Edwards, Linda Mathias, one sister- in-law, Maxine Fancher and one brother-in-law, Wm Alpha Meadows. Funeral Services will be 2:00 P. M. Thursday, May 7, 2009 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel with Shirley McCullough officiating.
