Probably Berryville Paper or other Carroll County Arkansas Paper) " Warren Hudspeth was born and raised in Arkansas, died in Tulsa, Oklahoma, November 10, 1926. 'Uncle Warren,' as he was familiary called, had spent most of his life in Carroll County and was for several years engaged in the lumber business in the southern part of the county, but for the past few years had been making his home, most of the time, with his son, Will, in Bristow, Oklahoma. He was an ex-Confederate soldier, serving with the 3rd Arkansas Division, Company I under General Shelby. 'Uncle Warren' always appeared in good spirits and was unusually healthy for a man of 82years, he always had a good word for everyone, and as we think how he looked when we last saw him starting on his last journey, we are reminded that this life is but a stepping stone to the Great Beyond, and that while we are always wondering, we never know who will be the next to be called to answer the summons from Him 'who doeth all things well." The body was prepared for burial by the Robert McBirney Undertaking Company of Tulsa, Oklahoma, who have the sincere thanks of the family for the able and accommodating manner in which they conducted the affair, and the kind treatment extended to the bereaved son and grandson, who were caught in trouble away from home and among strangers. Mr. Hudspeth leaves six children to mourn their loss, Mrs. F.M. Gage, Mrs. W.O. Wade and Mrs. Abe Wilson of Metalton, Ark.; Mrs. Ida Miller and Will Hudspeth of Bristow, Oklahoma, Mrs. J.D. Meskimen of Rogers, Ark; also two brothers, Jerry and Jim Hudspeth who live in the west; one sister, Mrs. Lucy Daniels of Metalton, besides a number of grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. T.R. Keen, were held November 12, and the remains laid to rest in the Gobbler cemetery, near Metalton.- (Reported)."
