Berryville Star Progress - March 1960 - Carroll County 
 
Mathis 
Ert Mathis, 72 years of age, died March 26th at the Boone County Hospital 
in Harrison.  His home was near Berryville.  Mr. Mathis was born in 
Carroll County May 16, 1887. He is survived by his widow Mrs. Love Mathis 
of the home; one step-son, Eugene Snow of Fayetteville, Ark.; one sister, 
Mrs. Russell Judd of St. Louis, Mo., and two nephews, Fay Beeson of St. 
Louis, Mo. and Maynard Beeson on Longview, Wash. 

Funeral services were held at 4:00 p. m. Tuesday, March 29th at the Snow 
Church with Hanse Armstrong and Auburn Green officiating.  Burial was in 
the Snow Cemetery, under the direction of the Nelson Funeral Home of 
Berryville, Ark.
