Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at Plumlee Church. Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. service time Friday, Nov. 20, at the church. Burial will be at Plumlee Cemetery. The son of Benton and Laura Belle Woodell Smith was born Dec. 30, 1939, at Low Gap. Mr. Smith was self employed in the glass industry in Ontario, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents of Compton; one sister, Lucille Fredrick; and a sister-in-law, Norma Megan. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Smith of the home; daughters, Carrie Lynn Smith of Ontario, Calif. and Shellie Rae Smith of Berryville; grandchildren, Amanda Jean Johansen, Matthew James Johansen, James Lloyd Hoy, Austin Levi Hoy and Evan Logan Hoy; brothers, Glenn Levi Smith and wife, Shirley of Kansas City, Mo. and William Pleas Smith and wife, Rowena of Diamond City; sisters, Ruth Hoffman of Diamond City and Verna Suggs of Lead Hill; sisters-in- law, Helen Jean Hunnecutt and husband, Paul of Bergman and Linda Fallon of Jerome, Idaho; 11 nephews and eight nieces and numerous other family.
