In the name of God, Amen - I Samuel Logue of the County of Chicot and State of Arkansas being of sound mind, but feeble in body, and knowing full well that it is appointed unto all men once to die, and after this the judgement of God, under this consideration with the fear of God before my eyes: I do make and ordain this as my last Will and Testament revoking all others, viz/ I commend my Soul unto God, who gave it; my body I wish decently consigned to mother earth; all my just debts I wish paid off as soon as convenient and whatever else may remain, I wish equally divided between my beloved Sister Elizath (sp?) Jane Meriwethir wife of Nicholas Merrewether and my beloved Sister-in-law Mildred Logue, and I desire my true and worthy friend John DeHart to act as my Executor to carry out the provisions of this my Will. His older brother Thomas Logue had apparently already died, leaving ThomasŐs widow, Mildred DeHart Logue, and 3 young sons - Hugh Logue, b.1844; John Logue, b.1846; and Thomas E. Logue, b.1847; Ref - 1850 Chicot AR census, page 180). 2) Samuel Logue was the son of Hugh Logue & Susannah Kaufman, born 1830. 3) Many of this family are found in the U.S. census of 1850 For Chicot County, page 180. ...................................................................
