In the name of God, Amen - I Samuel Logue of the County of Chicot
and State of Arkansas being of sound mind, but feeble in body, and
knowing full well that it is appointed unto all men once to die,
and after this the judgement of God, under this consideration with
the fear of God before my eyes:  I do make and ordain this as my
last Will and Testament revoking all others, viz/
 
I commend my Soul unto God, who gave it; my body I wish decently
consigned to mother earth; all my just debts I wish paid off as
soon as convenient and whatever else may remain, I wish equally
divided between my beloved Sister Elizath (sp?) Jane Meriwethir
wife of Nicholas Merrewether and my beloved Sister-in-law Mildred
Logue, and I desire my true and worthy friend John DeHart to act as
my Executor to carry out the provisions of this my Will. 
 
Given under my hand and seal this 26th day of Feb. in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty four.

Personally before me the undersigned an acting Justice of the Peace
Samuel Logue acknowledged this to be his last Will and Testament
and called on Robert D. Merrewether and J. C. Merriwether to bare
witness to the same.

SubmitterŐs notes -
1) Samuel Logue was only age 24 at the time of this will.  His older
brother Thomas Logue had apparently already died, leaving ThomasŐs
widow, Mildred DeHart Logue, and 3 young sons - Hugh Logue, b.1844;
John Logue, b.1846; and Thomas E. Logue, b.1847;
Ref - 1850 Chicot AR census, page 180).
2) Samuel Logue was the son of Hugh Logue & Susannah Kaufman,
born 1830.
3) Many of this family are found in the U.S. census of 1850 For
Chicot County, page 180.
