Davis an acting and duly commisioned Justice of the Peace within and for the County of Clark as hereby certify and make known that on the 17 day of Feb AD 1852 in the county aforesaid came before me Tho. Hancock to me well known is and then was a resident of Clark Cty, and of the age of twenty one years and Elizabeth Thompson also to me well known who was then a resident of Clark Cty, and of the age of seventeen years and they the said Tho Hancock and Elizabeth Thompson, were then and there by me by their mutual consent and desire joined in the bonds of matrimony and Tho Hancock then and there promising and agreeing to take said Elizabeth Thompson to wife and him as her husband to love cherish and protect until death shall them part and she the said Elizabeth Thompson then and there promising and agreeing to take the said Tho Hancock for her husband and him as her husband to honor love and obey until death shall them part. They the said Tho Hancock & Elizabeth Thompson then became and by me were then and there declared to be man and wife in witness whereof I do set my name as such Justice this Feb 27th AD 1852.
