BARBRE, 88, Succumbs. Mrs. Nancy Ann BARBRE, 88, a resident of the Madison Nursing Home for the past three years. She had been ill for the past three years. Mrs. BARBRE, who was formerly living at 1530 Fifth Street, was a Madison resident 40 years. She was born in Orange County, Indiana (to John S. GROMER who died in Herber Springs, Cleburne Co Ark., and Lucinda FOX). Preceded in death by her husband(s) (James BARBRE 1861-1913 & Wesly BARBRE 1867-1945), Mrs. BARBRE is survived by four sons; James A. BARBRE of Calhoun, (Henry County) MO.; Harvey and Alva D. BARBRE both of Madison (Madison County Illinois); and Edward BARBRE of Carmi (White County, Illinois); three daughters; Mrs. Bertha JONES of Norris City, (White County) Illinois; Mrs. Sarah GILBERT of Linn, (Osage County) MO.; and Mrs Alice GROMER of Collinsville (Madison County Illinois); a half sister Mrs. Francis HAMILTON of Whittier (Los Angeles County) Calif.; and two half brothers Jesse GROMER and Hugh GROMER both of Heber Springs (Cleburne County) Ark; 25 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. Services were conducted at a Madison funeral home Saturday afternoon and burial took place in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are given in the obituary column.
