Born at Bee Branch on May 10, 1924, he was 79. He was the son of the late W. A. and Ellie Mae Duncan. He had been a resident of Damascus for 25 years. He was a retired farmer and employee of J & B Tire Company. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, O. W. Duncan, Robert Duncan and Quinton Duncan; and by two sisters, Norma Faye Duncan and Elza Edwards. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Johnnie Mae Vaughan Duncan of Damascus; four sons, Jerry Duncan and Danny Duncan, both of Damascus, Sammy Duncan of Greenbrier and Randy Duncan of Conway; two daughters, Linda Bartlett of Heber Springs and Paulette McCollum of Pangburn; one brother, Junior Duncan of Greers Ferry; two sisters, Ara Waldrop of Covington, Ga. and Ima Faye Holliman of Quitman; eight grandchildren, Dennis Bartlett, Alan Duncan, Heath Vaughan, Lonnie Duncan, Jeff Duncan, Shelly Gallaway, Kelly Duncan and Kinsey Duncan; 19 great-grandchildren, and two great- great-grandchildren. He is also survived by other relatives and his many friends. Funeral services will be held March 17 at 10 a.m. in the Damascus First Baptist Church with Bro. Matt Hudson officiating. Interment will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery at Bee Branch. Pallbearers will be Dennis Bartlett, Alan Duncan, Heath Vaughan, Lonnie Duncan, Tyler Duncan, Jeff Duncan, Blake Verser and Andy Bartlett. Honorary pallbearers will be Spencer Bartlett, Nate Bartlett, Chase Gallaway, Dausen Duncan, Mason Duncan, Austin Duncan, Andrew Duncan, Chandler Duncan, Jason Verser, Andy Gallaway and Kyle Osborn.
