Cleveland County Herald 1936
Mrs. Marintha Hammond, aged 48, wife of John Hammond, died at the family home 
here Monday afternoon at 5:30 after an illness of three weeks.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the family home, conducted 
by the Rev. Elledge, pastor of the Fordyce Baptist church. Burial was in 
Kingsland cemetery.

Mrs. Hammond had been a resident of Kingsland for 25 years and was a member of 
the Baptist church.

Surviving, besides her husband, are three daughters, Mrs. D. J. Brown of Pine 
Bluff, Mrs. J. B. Jones and Miss Manola Hammond, of this place; three sons, 
Andrew, John Jr., and Howard Hammond, all of this place, one sister, Mrs. 
Luella Cox, of Little Rock, and her mother, Mrs. J.C. Roper, of Oakland, Calif.
