Margaret Emily Butler Fields is my grandmother, Jacqueline Britt Kirkpatrick Margaret Emily Fields, age 97 years, passed away at the house of her youngest daughter, Mrs. Bob Britt of Taylor, Arkansas, early Sunday morning, April 27, 1958. Mrs. Fields was the former Emily Butler, daughter of Jason and Martha Ann Butler. She was a native of Columbia County, Arkansas. She joined the Missionary Baptist Church when a young woman and was a charter member of the Corinth Baptist Church near Macedonia. She united in marriage with Eli Fields on December 16, 1880, who preceeded her in death on Janurary 4, 1931. To this union was born eight children. Two sons now deceased, Nathan and Houston Fields. Six s urviving children, Mrs. P. E. Petty of Shreveport, Louisiana, Mrs. C. A. Hood of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Bob Britt, Mrs. Tom Watson, Aaron and Carlton Fields all of Taylor, Arkansas. Other survivors include 39 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
