His father and mother were natives of North Carolina and Alabama, respectively, and were the parents of twelve children, only four of whom are living now. Thomas accompanied his parents to Mississippi, where he spent his youth, and attended such schools as the country then afforded, and at the age of 19 years began actual life on his own hook, by engaging in farming. In February, 1852, he was united in marriage to Rhoda P. Green, a native of the State of Mississippi. To this union were born but two children, George N., and one who died in infancy. Mrs. Frazier died in 1858, after a short married life of six years, and in 1859 our subject married Sarah A. Wells, also a native of Mississippi. Seven children were the result of this union, named Thomas M., Joseph R., Minerva J., Emily C., and Mary E. (twins). James. Mary and James are deceased. The second Mrs. Frazier died July, 1878, and Mr. Frazier was then the third time united in marriage, this time to Martha Davis, his present wife, and a native of Mississippi too. Mr. Frazier is one of the good farmers of Conway County. He owns a tract of eighty acres, with forty-five under cultivation, all well stocked and improved. Socially Mr. Frazier is a member of the Masonic fraternity, Cleveland Lodge, No. 473, and religiously he and Mrs. Frazier are members of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South.
