(Tapp) Malone. [See sketch of Elias Malone.] Vince Malone grew to manhood on a farm, receiving his education at the neighboring schools. He began life's battle for himself at the age of twenty years, as a farmer, which he has followed more or less ever since with marked success, being the owner of a fine farm of 395 acres, about 300 acres of which is under cultivation. It lies five miles north of Plummerville, in one of the most fertile upland sections of Conway County, and is all the result of his own industry and success as a financier. During the years of 1880, '81 and 82, Mr. Malone was engaged with a brother in the Mercantile pursuit at Plummerville, under the firm name of Malone Bros. In 1883 Mr. Malone united in marriage with Miss Bettie Adams, a daughter of Isaac H. and Mary Adams, who were probably natives of Arkansas; married in Conway County where Mr. Adams died October, 1886. He was a soldier in the Confederate army. Mrs., Adams is still living. Mrs. Malone is a native of Conway County, and as a result of her marriage with Mr. Malone, has two sons and two daughters. Politically Mr. Malone is a Democrat, and is a member of Howard Lodge, No. 253, A. F. and A. M., at Plummerville, and of the Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Malone is a Cumberland Presbyterian. For about a year Mr. Malone has been engaged in the well-drilling business, during which time he has drilled upwards of one hundred wells, operating two machines and employing four men.
