Goodspeed Publishers, 1891. page 97 William H. Parker, a young and deservedly popular physician, of Cleveland, was born in Delaware County, Iowa, October 23, 1858. He was educated in a high school at Earlville, at the Methodist Seminary at Epsworth, and from there to the Iowa State University, at Iowa City, where he completed his literary education. He then entered the medical department of the State University, where he graduated in medicine March, 1882. He at once proceeded to Dodge Centre, Minn., where he began his practice in partnership with the oldest physician of that place. In April, 1885, he came to Arkansas and located at Cleveland, in this county, where he has now established a most extensive and profitable practice, amounting to over $3500 per year. He is a member of the Masonic fraternity and was the first Master of Cleveland Lodge, No. 473. Politically the doctor is a staunch adherent to the principles of the Democratic party. He is an active and enterprising citizen, readily joining in all enterprises of a laudable character. Dr. Parker was united in marriage to Miss Ida M. Rundell, on March 17, 1880. She is a native of New York. To this union has been born two children, named Gretchen L. and Carroll P.
