Mrs. Roberta Aline Fowler, 79, of Conway died Saturday (Aug. 23, 1997) at Conway 
Regional Medical Center. Born June 3, 1918, in Malvern, daughter of the late 
William R. and Louisa Cunningham Sesser, she was the widow of Max E. Fowler, a 
retired nurse and a Baptist. Survivors are three daughters, Ruth Purdy and Maxine 
Cazer, both of Conway, and Barbara Shinall of Houston, Texas; a sister, Estelle 
Lane of Crockett, Texas; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. 
Graveside services were this morning at Gilcrist Cemetery with the Rev. Patrick
Hancock officiating. Burial was by Atkinson Funeral Home of Malvern.
