Earnest Williams, 76, of Springfield died Wed., Aug. 9.

Born Dec. 6, 1918, at Springfield, a son of Dovie McVay and Earnest Williams Sr., 
he was a WW II veteran and a member of Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church.

Survivors include six daughters, Althalene Hill of Springfield, Lorene Walls of 
Morrilton, Hazel Dean Flood, Georgia Faye Parker and Allene Walls, all of Flint, 
Mich., and Alice Mae Blackburn of Fayetteville; four sons, Sonny Boy Williams 
and Michael Wayne Williams, both of Conway, Steven Welton Williams of Flint and 
Earnest Charles Williams of Springfield; 41 grandchildrenn; and 56 
great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were 2:30 p.m. Sun. at Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church with 
the Rev. Matthew Smith officiating. Burial was at Greater Mount Olive Cemetery 
by Acklin Funeral Home of Morrilton.

Pallbearers were LeVelt Hill Sr., Scipio Hoyle, Tyree Brewer, William Cowan, 
Lee Roy Fowler, and L. B. Warren.
