I was born at Saint Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro. My Dad had a saw-mill on Hwy. 14 as you started up the bottom of the hill, there to the right. My Mom and Dad had Eight children and one set of twin boys that died at birth. Dad's full name was John Grover Cleveland Oldman. His Parents, Sarai and John Oldman thought if they named him after a President, he would amount to something. He did, He was our Daddy. He was born Oct.18, 1891. He worked in the log-woods rolling timber down the Rivers of Arkansas that would later be brought to our mill. He built our house on the Bay Rd. from his own planks. We had a natural spring-fed well. To this day, it is still running. He had a Studebaker and an old log-truck when I was born. He had two sons to a previous marriage. Earnest, who owned a grocery store at the foot of the hills called OLDMANS GROCERY. He loved burling logs so much that his other sons name is Berlin Oldman. Berl, owned and operated a Taxi-cab out of Marked Tree. I spoke to him last week about Daddy. Earnest had two children, Alan and Jeanette. Berl had a boy named Berlin Jr. My Mother came from Red-Onion Arkansas, I believe. She was daughter of Ora Ethyl and Henry Daugherty. He was blind. My Mom had two sisters, Ruby and Marie. Marie is who I'm named after. They both lived with Ora in Florida while my Mom stayed and cared for her Dad. My Mom cut her sister Ruby's husband in the head with an AX when he called her Dad a S.O.B. She was put into ALEXANDRIA GIRLS HOME, where she was kicked down a flight of stairs and carried the scars to her grave. Our Mom also had children befor us. Glinda, Bill and Lorene. She married an alcoholic named Eugene Wilson who sold their youngest, LORENE, to his Aunt Jeanny who raised Lorene. Mother never remarried after Dads passing. We moved to Michigan when Dad died and moved back to Arkansas in 1976. We lived on W.P.A. Rd. in a farm-house. My siblings are: Johnny, Ruby, Linda, Brenda and Tammy. They are all in the same area. My sister Linda Jewell married a Settlemire and he was domestically violent to her and her two boys. The Oldest of her children in a fit of rage, shot her to death with a .20ga. shotgun. He later went on to kill a Missouri police-officer and received a 40 year prison sentence. I had 4 children of my own, for whom I am leaving this information. Jerry Dewayne Oldman is my first-born, he weighed 3 lb 11oz. at University Of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He was a March of Dimes baby. His D.O.B.is 12-12-78. Kelly Ann was next on 03-31-82. She was born in Jonesboro Arkansas, the same hospital as I was born in. Then there came Brandy Lee weighing 4 lb. She was born at Craighead Memorial in Jonesboro on 04-20-85. Casey Lee was born in the same hospital as Brandy. His D.O.B. is 09-23-86. He weighed 5 lb. I met the love of my life in Randy McMunn, born in Avon Park Florida, he then resided in Harrisburg where his family settled. We got together in 1984. His biological children are Brandy and Casey but raised Jerry and Kelly as his own. His Dad is J.R.McMunn of Harrisburg and his Mother resides in Gainesville Florida where we also live. She is Betty Jean Brack of Harrisburg Arkansas. Her Mom's Surname was Leona Mobbs, and her father was Eulis Gyle Brack of Harrisburg. She married Larry Buckner in 1994. Her residence is located at 730 NE 9th St. Larrys family was originally from North Carolina, but since has settled here in Gainesville. Betty and J.R. had 3 boys. Rickey Joe, Robert Wayne and my Randy Lee. Rickey moved out to California and Robert is in Arkansas. After my sister Linda was murdered I went back to school and received my diploma and began training as a Crime Victims Advocate here in Alachua Co. In 1993, I was President of The Parents Of Murdered Children and other homicide survivors. In 1995-96, I opened a Retail Clothing store in Orange Lake Florida. Randy works for a local mobile home company in town and does vinyl siding. He bought me this WEB-TV and I intend to leave my ROOTS firmly planted for my next-of-kin to access. IT IS WITH GREAT HONOR THAT I SUBMIT THIS DOCUMENT THIS 23rd DAY OF DECEMBER 1998....With Love, Carolyn Oldman ======================================================================
