A native of Lake City, she moved to Jonesboro in 1927, where she was a homemaker and a member of North Main Baptist Church. Mrs. Ellis was preceded in death by her husband, W. W. Ellis, in 1978. Survivors include two sons, Elmo Ellis, of Flint, Mich., and Walter Ellis of Amarillo, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Ella Mae Hargett of Jonesboro, and Mrs. Leah Ruth Smith of Bolivia, South America; one sister, Mrs. Willie Barham of Springdale; 13 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 10 at City Cemetery with Rev. Bob Crabb officiating. Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro is in charge. The body will lie in state at the funeral home from 6 to 8 tonight. ************************************************************************
