Robinson (deceased) was born in Wayne County, Tenn., in 1820, and when thirteen years old accompanied his parents to this county. He received a good education during his youth, and made his home with his parents until 1844. when he was united in marriage with Sarah, daughter of Younger Neal, and a native of Hickman County, Tenn., born in August, 1830. When fourteen years of age she came with her parents to this county, and after her marriage went to live upon Mr. Robinson's farm, which continued to be their home with the exception of three years. which were spent in Texas. In 1862 Mr. Robinson left his farm to join the Confederate army, in which he served until the cessation of hostilities, then returning to his farm work and stock raising. He became the most extensive farmer in his immediate community, and died in 1884, leaving a wife and nine children. The children are Melissa, Serena, Lilburn, Una, Gillie, Marshall, Francis, Kirby and Albert. Mr. Robinson was a faithful member of the Christian Church, to which his widow is also united. Mrs. Robinson is a highly respected lady, of more than ordinary business ability, and owns 200 acres of land, all under cultivation. ----------------------------------------------------------------------
