Services for A.L. Butler, of 109 N. 9th, were at 2 pm Sunday at Citizens Funeral
Home Chapel, with burial at Crittenden Memorial Park. Mr. Butler, 86, died at
1:30 am Saturday morning at his home.A retired merchant, he was born in Alabama
and had lived in Cherry Valley before moving to West Memphis, about 25 years
ago. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Annie
Butler, two sons, Grover Butler and Carl Butler, of West Memphis, a daughter,
Mrs. AJ Collett of West Memphis, a brother, Artie B. Butler of Birdeye, a
sister, Mrs, Maybelle Thompson of Harrisburg, Ar, five grandchildren and ten
great grandchildren.
