Vicie Childress, a Memphian, to be buried in West Memphis today. Services for
Mrs Vicie A Childress, of 1767 Watson, will be at 11:30 this morning at
Cosmopolitan Funeral Home with burial in Crittenden Memorial Park. Mrs
Childress, 72 years old, died at 3:40 yesterday morning at John Gaston Hospital,
where she'd been a patient since November 16. She'd been ill for about two
years. Born in Owensboro, Ky, and lived in Crittenden County til moving to
Memphis, about five years ago. She was a Baptist. She leaves two sons, Luther
Daniels of Memphis and Raymond Daniels of West Memphis, a brother, Steve Groves
of Florida and two half brothers, Harry Robinson and Theodore Robinson of
Evansville, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
