Joe Brocketts to Observe Golden Wedding Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Brockett of Route 2 Cherry Valley will observe their Golden
Wedding Anniversary at a family dinner party at their home Thanksgiving Day.

The couple were married November 25, 1915, at Cherry Valley.  They have lived
around Cherry Valley most of their life, having moved here from Missouri and
Illinois when they were quite young.

Mr. Brockett farmed until he retired about 20 years ago.  Mrs. Brockett's
hobbies were fishing and gardening as long as her health permitted.

Mr. and Mrs. Brockett have two children, Mrs, Donald Kurtz of Burlington, Iowa
and Mrs. Miles Rooks, Jr, of Cherry Valley.  They have two grandchildren,
Carolyn Rooks of Memphis and Joey Rooks of Cherry Valley.
