She was a native of Johnson County, attended Lamar School, and was preceded in death by her husband, Jim McCarley, and son, Ricky McCarley. She was secretary at Woolly Hollow State Park and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Eldon Spears; two daughters, Tammy Spears Rowbotham and Melanie Spears Thomas, both of Greenbrier; father, John W. Killough of Mt. Grove, Mo.; mother, Corine Gayle Shaffer of Missouri; four brothers, Jack Killough of Plumerville, Mark Killough of Wichita, Kan., and Randy Shaffer and Darrell Shaffer, both of Missouri; one sister, Joy Killough Cash of Wichita, Kan.; and three grandchildren, Morgan Robertson and Tyler and Tara Thomas. Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel in Conway with burial in the Republican Cemetery at Greenbrier. Pallbearers were Bobby Hargrove, David Reynolds, Roy McCarley, Tommy McCarley, Harrell Reynolds and Raymond Reynolds.
