Henry & Co., general merchants at Mulberry, and representative business men of that town, carry a stock of goods valued at from $5,000 to $8,000, and with annual sales to the amount of about $25,000. Mr. Henry is a wideawake, thorough-going business man, and by his industry and close attention to business would succeed in any undertaking. He was born in Alabama December 23, 1858, and is the son of John B. and M. C. Henry, natives of Tennessee and Alabama, respectively. He grew to manhood in his native State, and at the age of seventeen engaged in merchandising, which occupation he has followed thus far through life with fair success. He came to this State in 1884, settling in Crawford County, but in 1887 left there and came to Mulberry, where he has since been one of the prominent merchants of the place. He was married in April, 1880, to Miss Mary E. Folippen, who bore him one child, Roscoe. Mr. Henry is a member of Pleasant Hill Lodge No. 233, A. F. & A. M., and is also a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
