Riley Pulliam died Friday at 12:30 of pneumonia and was buried Sunday afternoon, funeral service conducted from the Baptist church by Rev. Eaton the pastor. Riley will e missed by everbody, but by none as much as us old timers who have been associated with the family for more than 30 years. He was an inoffensive character, always attending strictly to his own business and faithful to his family, his church, the Democratic party and his community. He was born, reared and married in Kentucky and came to Izard county, thence to Union, this county, and then 33 years ago the family moved to our town. He was known and respected by everybody. Had he lived until June he would have rounded out 24 y’rs as watchman at the plant of the Mammoth Spring Milling Co.
