She was born Nov. 12, 1898, in Hazen, to the late R. Marvin & Hulda Geneva Brookshire. She was predeceased by a sister, Hattie Freniere; and brother;, Joseph Brookshire of Hot Springs. She was a charter member of the First Church of Nazarene of Hot Springs and the Sanctuary Sunday School Class. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Georgia and A. J. Jack Davies of Downy, California; two sons and daughters-in-law, Leland D. & Clara Garner of Hot Springs and Eddie L. & Beverly Garner of Downy, California; a sister-in-law, Ethel Brookshire of Hot Springs; three grandchildren, Lorna G. Ellis, Mark J. Davies and Michael Garner; and three great-grandchildren, Tammy and Michele Davies and Kevin Garner. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Church of the Nazarene with the Revs. Bob Madison and Ray Mariage officiating. Pallbearers will be Ish Stivers, Chuck Leppert, Clay Pate, Wendell Hilton, Jim Henley and Guy Siratt. Honorary pallbearers will be Rodney Ford, Larry Ford, LaNell Gossett Elsey, Burlene Parker McCully, Randy Ballowe, Mary Jo Hilton, Sarah Francis and Don Shaddock, Carlis Parker, Margie Edwards, Joe Harrison, members of First Church of the Nazarene and the Sanctuary Sunday School Class, Marge Hubbard, and Nell Damron. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Highway 70 West, under the direction of Hot Springs Funeral Home.
