Roach Sentinel Record, Hot Springs, Garland Co., AR, Tuesday, 24 Feb 1948, page 4 Resident of County 59 years Found Dead Dave Crockett Roach, 59, lifelong resident of Garland County, was found dead in the yard of his home on the Bayou Road off Highway 270 about 5pm Monday. The body was discovered by a neighbor, R.C. Hunter. The man is believed to have died from natural causes. Coroner Foster Jarrell will complete his investigation today. A veteran of World War 1, he is survived by two brothers, Will Roach and Sam Roach, both of Hot Springs, and one sister, Mrs. Pearl Green, Bakersfield, Calif. Deputy Sheriff George McGuire investigated. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Gross Mortuary. Roach, 53, life resident of Hot Springs, died yesterday following a heart attack at his home, 435 Wood. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Millie Roach, Hot Springs; one step-daughter, Miss Marie Aldrich, Hot Springs; two step-sons, A. C. Aldrich, Hot Springs, and John Aldrich, Tempe, AZ; one brother, John S. Roach, Hot Springs; one sister, Mrs. Pearl Green, San Pedro, Calif.; and one grandaughter. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lydia Roach; two sons, Jimmie and Richard, and a daughter, Barbara Roach, all of Hot Springs; and a sister, Mrs. Pearl Green, Santa Anita, Calif.
