All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************* Sentinel Record, Hot Springs, Garland Co., AR, Tuesday, 24 Feb 1948, page 4 Resident of County 59 years Found Dead Dave Crockett Roach, 59, lifelong resident of Garland County, was found dead in the yard of his home on the Bayou Road off Highway 270 about 5pm Monday. The body was discovered by a neighbor, R.C. Hunter. The man is believed to have died from natural causes. Coroner Foster Jarrell will complete his investigation today. A veteran of World War 1, he is survived by two brothers, Will Roach and Sam Roach, both of Hot Springs, and one sister, Mrs. Pearl Green, Bakersfield, Calif. Deputy Sheriff George McGuire investigated. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Gross Mortuary. Roach who died last Monday will be held at 2pm this afternoon at the Caruth Funeral Home. The Rev Ed An......? of Piney Baptist Church will officiate and burial will be at Bain Cemetery.
