MILLER ***************** CHESTER, MD.-- Mary Katherine Flannery Miller, 84, of Chester, Md., formerly of Hot Springs, died Tues., July 31, 2001, in Maryland. She was born aug. 18, 1916, in Southboro, Mass. She was a social worker with the Ark. Dept. of Human Services for 19 yrs. She was a graduate of Emmanuel College in Boston, Mass. Mrs. Miller was one of the first women to enlist in the W.A.C, Women’s Army Corps, in 1943. She servied seven yrs. in the Medical Service Corps. She was a former member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hot Springs and was active in many charitable organizations, including Altar Socieety and Oblate of St. Benedict. She was the widow of Paul T. Miller. She is survived by a son, John Miller of Aztec, N.M.; two daughters, Doranne Devy of Chester, Md., and Marilyn Kurz of Van Buren, Ark.; and six grandchildren. Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Fri., Aug. 3, 2001, at Hot Springs Funeral Home.
