Arkansas Gazette:  Wednesday, Feb 16, 1972 - William Steven Ashcraft, aged 90, 
of Sheridan died Monday.  He was a member of the Little Creek Missionary 
Baptist Church.  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Clara Crutchfield Ashcraft; 
a son, Lee Ashcraft of Fairfield Bay; two daughters, Mrs. Willie Mae Carter of 
California and Mrs. Winnie Sullivan of MS; two brothers, John J. Ashcraft of 
Hensley and Gus Ashcraft of North Little Rock; four sisters, Mrs. Clarabell 
Christopher of Pine Bluff, Mrs. Leona Cobb, Mrs. Nan Scott and Mrs. Mary Sue 
Sanders, all of MS; 22 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren and seven 
great-great-grandchildren.  Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Buie Funeral 
Chapel.  Burial will be at Lost Creek Cemetery.
