Ashcraft Cleamens Veazey Ashcraft, 86, of Little Rock was born Dec. 6, 1915 at Gerty, Okla., the daughter of the late Elzy Pryor and Corinna Tate Veazey. She died Dec. 19, 2001 at the Hot Spring County Medical Center at Malvern. She was a charter member of First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church at Sheridan where she once served as choir director and was a retired accountant for Fausett Realty in Little Rock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ottis Ashcraft. Survivors are a son and daughter-in-law: Thomas C. and Emily Wofford Ashcraft of Franklin, Tenn.; granddaughters and husbands: Alicia and Dr. Scott Bartusch of Memphis, Tenn., and Stefanie and Major Scott Miles of Fredricksburg, Va.; great grandsons: Gannon and Cole Miles of Fredricksburg, Va.; a niece: Sue Parsley of Sheridan; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held, Dec. 21, at 2 p.m. at the First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church at Sheridan with the Rev. J. Timothy Montgomery officiating. Burial was at the Lost Creek Cemetery at Sheridan. Arrangements were by Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan.
